Sister's Birthday's January 2011
My Mom and Aunt were born one day apart on different years, but this year I chose to do a joint cake, marrying ideas of what I think they would both enjoy.
This contraption was: Chocolate Cake, Orange Cream Cheese Frosting, Orange Chiffon, Buttercream, and then another layer of Chocolate Cake. Served with Coconut Parfait and Orange Sea Salt candle cookies. Toasted coconut decorated the ends of the cake as well.

Shawn's Birthday November 2010
Shawn's cake was my interpretation of a surprise cake. Most cheesecakes don't look nearly this 'decked' out but a Diva gets what a Diva wants!
My inspiration was the rainbow fabric I found and wanted to give the cake lots of color too. Shawn asked for a Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cheesecake...need I say more? Sure I will! An Oreo Peanut Butter crust with an outside layer of whipped cream that was airbrushed on the sides.
Our Wedding Cake
From the moment Tobias proposed to me, I knew I'd be making our wedding cake. Many people thought I was crazy because I'd have so many other things to do and take care of...but aside from the groom showing up, the next most important thing to me was our cake.
Uschi, Tobias' Mom, had an amazing poppy cake that she'd made for Tobias' birthday and it was like nothing I'd ever tasted before. Trying to duplicate her cake was quite a challenge. No recipe formula and basically she'd make it by eye. I was up for the challenge, and many attempts later I'm happy to say it came out quite well.
Our cake had two tiers of this poppy cake with whipped cream filling and two tiers of coconut cream cake with chocolate mousse filling. Enrobed in colored marzipan with a bit of help from a wonderful mentor Linda.
Uschi and I also baked her almond crescent cookie recipe for a nice treat with coffee on the guest tables.

Keri and Sam Frady's Wedding, October 2010
I had the proud task of creating Keri and Sam's wedding cake in October last year. The cake had separate flavors in the tiers. The tiers were either chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream or white cake with chocolate buttercream. Keri's color was purple, so I used a purple satin fabric to cover the cake board.
Welcome family and friends!
In a bigger effort now more than ever to get myself out there, I have started this blog. Please feel free to share and comment if you have had the pleasure in tasting some of these creations! My hope is through the power of word of mouth and recognition to build a personalized, scratch made, and delicious home-based business. If you have never ordered or tasted something baked from my oven, I urge you to do so in the near future. Thank you so much~ Stefanie
