Happy Birthday Curt! March 23rd, 2013
A wonderful returning customer ordered her husband this richly delicious cake! Created with a raspberry cremeux, chocolate cake, and chocolate buttercream as well as a touch of raspberry preserves and fresh raspberries made this cake one of my personal favorites to eat! (Yes...guilty, I ate the scraps!) This cake was a delight to envision and the components took a couple days. First cooking down raspberries, pushing through a chinois, cooking the raspberry cream and finally blending it into emulsion!

Ben's Birthday! March 1st, 2013
Vera has returned the favor for gifting a cake to her husband this
year! She approached me wanting a white cake and got much more than she
anticipated. This 6" cake had many components, all complementing each
other wonderfully (in my opinion). Top to bottom: White cake, thin
layer of chocolate ganache, almond-kirsch filling, white cake, thin
layer of chocolate ganache, almond-kirsch filling, white cake, covered
with Italian buttercream and finished with toasted almond slices and a
dab of ganache for the top.
