A Thomas the Train themed sheet cake for a wonderfully excited little boy. This was a white cake with chocolate mousse filling and a vanilla buttercream. Thomas was made using food dyed marzipan covering rice krispie treat. The train tracks were my favorite. Shaved coconut flakes and piping on top of that. The homemade isomalt was meant to give the element of water, since Thomas makes trips on the tracks by oceans on the island of Sodor.

ReplyDeleteThis was the first cake that Stefanie had made for me. It was for my sons 4th birthday party. I thought it was absolutely delicious and loved the filling. She also did such a good job with the decorations on top. I only gave her a vague idea of what I wanted, and it came out 10 times better than what I thought. The rail road tracks were completely her idea, and it really made the cake! The thing I loved was that there was plenty of cake, the price was right, and it tasted awesome!!
